7th Annual Private Equity & Venture Capital Conference, 11 February 2011.
On behalf of London Business School and its Private Equity & Venture Capital Club, we are delighted to welcome you to the 10th Annual London Business School Private Equity & Venture Capital Conference.
Still reeling in the wake of the financial crisis, the past year has continued to see major changes in the Private Equity and Venture Capital industry. The most successful firms have embraced these changes and evolved their strategies accordingly whilst maintaining their core focus, recognising that the evolution of the industry is likely to continue for some time.
Despite this challenging context, the rekindled appetite of stock markets and debt markets for often-risky PE deals has enabled the industry to become more buoyant, leading to several impressive exits. As a result, private equity firms are expected to have distributed more capital to LPs than in recent years. This has also enabled the asset class to continue to attract new capital, even though current fundraising remains far below pre-crisis levels.
The 2014 London Business School Private Equity and Venture Capital Conference will explore the evolutions in the industry, with in-depth discussions focusing on the success stories and failures of firms’ attempts to keep up with their changing environments. Keynote addresses and panels featuring industry leaders, advisors and other stakeholders will provide insights into today’s LP relationships, large and mid cap strategy shifts, the ever increasing focus on value creation and returns from emerging markets amid huge capital inflows.
Please note that, in accordance with the Chatham House Rule, participants to the conference will be free to use the information they receive, but may not reveal the identity nor the affiliation of the speakers, nor that of any other participant.
